EconLit is one of the most important databases of economic literature, a fundamental research tool in the economic sciences providing bibliographic citations and abstracts from worldwide production since 1969.
It covers a wide range of different types of documents published around the world including journal articles, books and dissertations as well as collective works such as proceedings, collections and many others. The printed equivalent of this DB is the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL), which is considered the most cited and authoritative journal in the field of economic (and related) sciences. It contains 581,000+ records with an annual increase of around 27,000+ records.
