SCOPUS (by Elsevier) is one of the world's largest citation and abstract databases, providing (with daily updates) information on articles from 24,000 selected peer-reviewed scientific journals in science, engineering, medicine, social sciences, focusing on European production (including selected journals from Czech Republic). It also includes records of patents and articles in conference proceedings, the "Articles in Press" service for 3,000 journals, and much more.

SCOPUS (Elsevier) is a direct competitor of the Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics) database in the field of scientometry.
