SFX – linking service

The S.F.X. service was turned off. Please use the new LinkSource service. To get more information about the LinkSource service visit the LinkSource info pages.

S.F.X technology (service) provides simple way for searching fulltexts in the electronic information resources at Masaryk University. Nowadays SFX works in selected information resources (ProQuest, EBSCO, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect), Metalib, in tools for electronic journals and also in Google Scholar.

Resources, which support SFX, are (here at Portal) labelled with this icon SFX.

How to use SFX: wherever you find some of the SFX icons bellow (typically nearby a citation of an article in some information resource)

Basic SFX  ProQuest SFX icon  SFX icon (El. journals
portal, Citation Linker, Metalib)  SFX icon
	(MathScinet)  Big SFX icon

you can click on it and SFX will try to find a fulltext for given resource and tell you if (and where) this fulltext is available for users at Masaryk University (including the information about printed versions at MU libraries).

It is not neccessary to access SFX service from Masaryk University network, however, it would be more comfortable (in the other case you could be asked to authenticate repeatedly) to do so or to use remote access the same way you do for accessing el. information resources.
